【学术报告】无处不在的计算Computing in the Ambient

Abstract:
This talk will introduce nowadays ubiquitous computing paradigm based on ambient sensing and computing. In particular, the talk will focus on several practical applications and systems, including the sensor network systems for building operation, environmental monitoring, data center monitoring that we have been exploiting in recent years, as well as novel applications that we are looking into with participatory sensing from smart phones.


Biography:
Mo Li (李默)

Mo Li received his BS degree in the Department of Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University and PhD degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Since 2010, he is an assistant professor in School of Computer Engineering of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He won Hong Kong ICT Award - Best Innovation and Research Grand Award in 2007 and ACM Hong Kong Chapter Prof. Francis Chin Research Award in 2009. In 2011, he won Second Class State Natural Science Award conferred by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. He was conferred as titled Nanyang Assistant Professor (NAP) since 2011. His research interest includes wireless sensor networking, pervasive computing, mobile and wireless computing, etc. He has published a number of research papers in reputed conferences and journals including ACM MobiCom, MobiSys, SenSys; IEEE INFOCOM, ICNP, ICDCS; TON, TMC, TPDS, TOSN, etc.
